* they weight 450 lbs and 5 ft 9 in tall.
* they don't run by themselves they run in a pack.
* family groups are usually 5 to 10 led by dominant male.
* they are herbivores and they eat plants, raisin, bananas, and dry cereal.
* these gorillas habitats are in tall trees and they only sleep at midnight.
* these animals live in central and western Africa.
Why they need protection?
* people hunt for there babies
* they kill them for revenge
* people sell them
* people kill there babies
* they reproduce slowly, producing only one baby at a time.
* habitat destruction is a problem.
* they are weak law enforcement to protect them.
* they catch human diseases.
How are they protected?
* they have fences
* hunters go to jail
* people stop them from hunting
* try to preserve their habitat
* try to enforce laws

* there forest temperature is around 23 ferinheight
they walk on there knuckles and sometime they walk on there two feet.
* Gorillas sleep 13 hours each night.
* they rest for several hours at midday
* they sleep with there children and mother near a big tree
