Alexis Daley Spotted Linsang

Introduction and Description of the spotted linsang !

      * They have pointed head .

      * Their coat is brownish gray with distinct dark patchs .

      * Its tail has 10 dark rings around it and it can reach up to 13.8 inches long .

      * They have completely large black eyes enabling the species to see well at niqht ! 

      * The body size is between 14.96 and 16.14 inches and weighs less then 35 ounces . 

      * They also have very pointy ears ;) .

     

                    Habits and Behavior Of The Spotted Linsang !

     1 . The Spotted Linsang prefers to be solitary but it is not fully known .

     2 .They are mammals .

     3 . They are carnivores they eat insects , rodents , lizards , small mammals , and birds ! 

     4 . They rest during the day .... and hunt during the night  

     5 . They are predators ! 

     6 . They produce during feb. and aug . 

     7 . They can only produce 3 kids a year .

                                           !  NATURAL HABITAT !

         # You can specifically find the spotted linsang in the hollows of trees or under the roots of trees [; 

        # There nests are made of dry leaves and twigs .

        # The spotted linsang is the worlds smallest civet species it can be found in the forests of the central and eastern himalaya's . 

       # You can also find the linsang in other country's like Bhutan , Napel , China , Thailand , India , Vietnum , and Loas .

   CONVERSATION EFFORT - WHAT IS CURRENTLY BEING DONE TO HELP THE SPOTTED LINSANG /; ? / WHY ARE THEY BECOMING EXTINCT ! 

     1. They were listed endangered june 14 , 1976 . 

     2 .  There being hunted for there beautiful fur . 

     3 . They lost there habitat due to logging . 

     4 .  Also agricultural development . 

     5 . To protect the spotted linsang they have made laws banning any poaching of the linsang .

     6 . They have stopped the destruction of their habitat . (:
